Manuscripts must be written in formal academic English following the US spelling standard, with the following writing structure:

1. Article Title

Write the title briefly and clearly, describing the main finding of the research or systematic review, and do not mention the name of the institution or location of the research.

2. Author Name

Names are written without titles. If there is more than one author, names are separated by a comma (,). The first author is given the number [1] at the end of the name, the second author [2], and so on. Mark the corresponding author's name with an asterisk (*).

3. Author Affiliation / Institution

The institution is written once and numbered according to the author's number. The affiliation written must be the main institution, not a unit or department.

4. Corresponding Email Address

Write only one email address for the corresponding author. Mark the corresponding author's name with an asterisk (*).

5. Abstract

The abstract contains a brief description of the research problem and objective, the method used, the research results, and their implications. Explain the rationale and objective of the research briefly and clearly. Briefly explain the research design, research variables, and data analysis method used. Present the most important research results concisely. Also state the research conclusion and its contribution to the relevant field of study. The abstract must reflect the content of the article and focus mainly on the research results, written in a single paragraph of no more than 300 words.

6. Keywords

Write 3 to 5 unique, relevant, and representative words or phrases. Do not use overly general terms that fail to describe the study.

7. Introduction

In the introduction, provide a general overview and explain why the topic discussed is important in the field of education. Also mention relevant prior studies to provide context for the research.

After that, explain the gap or shortcoming in previous research by raising a new question or offering a new perspective on the limitations of prior studies. This shows that the research holds added value and provides a new contribution to the field of education.

Finally, explain how the research will fill the identified gap. State the research question/objective clearly and explain the hypothesis to be tested. Also explain the contribution the research will make.

8. Method

The method section explains how the research procedure was carried out. Explain the research design used, the research variables measured, and the instruments used for data collection. Also explain the data collection procedure and the data analysis method to be used.

9. Findings

The research results are presented as a whole with a concise and clear presentation of processed data, using tables, graphs, and figures to help readers understand the data. Ensure the research results are relevant to the research question and objective stated in the introduction.

10. Discussion

The discussion section contains the implications of the research results. Compare the research results with previous studies and explain the consistencies and inconsistencies of the findings. Also explain the limitations of the research and how those limitations may affect the research results. Explain the implications of the research for the development of theory and practice in the field of education.

11. Conclusion

The conclusion section contains a summary of the key points of the research. State the most important research results and explain their contribution to the field of research. Provide recommendations for future research and explain how the research can be developed further.

12. References

The reference list is written following the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association) model. If using a reference manager (Mendeley or Zotero), double check the accuracy of all listed references to avoid missing metadata. It is mandatory to include sources from cited scientific journal articles, with a minimum of 20 articles published within the last 5 years. Recommended sources: journal articles, book chapters, and books. Sources not recommended: websites, blogs, and news portals.

13. Sponsor

State the name of the institution that funded part or all of the research activity. If the research was conducted independently, state that the research activity was not funded by anyone.

Empirical Research Paper

Presents research findings obtained directly by the researcher based on empirical data collected through observation, experiment, or survey. Its contribution lies in adding to scientific knowledge through new data and findings. This article includes:

  • Introduction: Background, problem statement, gap analysis, and research objectives.
  • Method: Research design, population and sample, research instruments, and data collection procedures.
  • Results: Research findings presented in the form of tables, graphs, and narrative.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of research findings and their relation to previous studies.
  • Conclusion: Research conclusions and their implications.

Review Paper

Critically and comprehensively reviews existing research findings on a specific topic, for example in the form of bibliometric analysis, systematic literature review, critical literature review, and so on. Its contribution lies in synthesizing existing knowledge and helping to formulate an agenda for future research. This article includes:

  • Introduction: Background, research questions, and review methodology.
  • Method: Literature search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and data analysis method.
  • Results: Synthesis of research findings relevant to the topic under review.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of the review findings and their implications for research and practice.
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and recommendations for future research.
